How to use Voltaren?

If you are using the lowest effective dose for your age (25 mg once daily for 3 days or 75 mg twice daily for 3 days), take it for the duration recommended by your doctor.

For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis: Apply Voltaren 75 mg (100 mg) 1 time a day as directed. Take 1 time every day for 1 day. Do not use for more than 3 days unless otherwise prescribed. If you are using the lowest effective dose for your age (25 mg twice daily for 3 days), take it for the duration recommended by your doctor.

Do not use Voltaren 75 mg if you are allergic to it; it may cause stomach or intestinal problems, so it should be used with caution in those with a stomach or intestinal problems, or if you have heart problems.

Warnings

Do not use Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution if:

• You have had an allergic reaction to diclofenac (Lilly's Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution).

• You are allergic to other NSAIDs such as paracetamol (St. Louis, Miss.), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen sodium (Aleve, Naprosyn), or others

• You are using an NSAID that has a narrow therapeutic index (e.g., aspirin or other NSAIDs).

• You are using the Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution as an eye ointment. Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution is applied to the eye twice a day.

• You are experiencing conjunctivitis. You must have been told by your healthcare practitioner that you have an allergic reaction to diclofenac. Please tell your healthcare practitioner if you are allergic to any other medicines. You can also use the Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution as an eye ointment. Voltaren Ophthalmic Solution is also used to treat other eye conditions, such as corneal ulcers or blepharitis.

• You are experiencing an allergic reaction.
